About McDonald's Rewards
One of America's most iconic fast food restaurants has rolled out a long-awaited rewards program for its throngs of happy customers. In 2021, McDonald's introduced MyMcDonald's Rewards, which enables you to earn points for every delicious bite you take at Mickey D's. The McDonald's loyalty program works pretty simply. You get 100 points for every dollar you spend and you can then convert those points into rewards in the form of menu items. You can choose from a list of McDonald's items to exchange for your points, and when you do so your reward will be loaded into your McDonald's account for redemption. If you should happen not to redeem your McDonald's reward, the points will be transferred back to your MyMcDonald's Rewards account.
McDonald's has put a nice PR push behind their rewards program, and it is backed by great customer support as well. For example, if points are not showing up in your account for any reason, you can simply reach out to McDonald's with your receipt for up to six months from the date of purchase and they'll work to try to get you any points you may have missed. In addition, in order to provide a smooth transition for McCafé customers, McCafé Rewards has been rolled into MyMcDonald's Rewards. Every McCafé Rewards punch is worth 400 MyMcDonald's Rewards points, or the equivalent of $4 worth of spending within the McDonald's loyalty program. A nice added benefit of the new program is that you can, of course, earn rewards points on food purchases at McDonald's and not just drinks as was the case with McCafé Rewards.

Redeem points for free food
Redeem 1,500 McDonald's points for a Regular or Hot ‘N Spicy McChicken, Hash Browns, Vanilla Cone or Cheeseburger.
Redeem 3,000 McDonald's points for a medium Fries, Sausage Burrito, 6-piece Chicken McNuggets, or large Iced Coffee.
Redeem 4,500 McDonald's points for a large Fries, large Frappé, Filet-O-Fish or Sausage McMuffin with Egg.
Redeem 6,000 McDonald's points for a Big Mac, Quarter Pounder with Cheese, Happy Meal or a Bacon, Egg and Cheese Biscuit.
What are the MyMcDonald’s Rewards Rules?

As part of their membership program, McDonald's provides 4 achievable loyalty rewards. Member benefits are separate from membership rewards and are always able to be earned or redeemed based on your activity.
MyMcDonald’s Rewards awards its members no status levels. It has 5 benefits that you’ll be able to utilize during your membership.
In order to earn MyMcDonald's Rewards points on your purchases at McDonald's, you'll have to identify yourself as a member by providing a 4-digit code that is supplied by McDonald's.
You must earn a minimum of 1,500 MyMcDonald's Rewards points in order to redeem a reward. Since you get 100 points for every dollar you spend, that means you'll have to spend $15 at McDonald's before you can redeem a reward.
When do MyMcDonald's Rewards points expire? Your McDonald's points do expire after the 6th month from the date your points were earned. This will occur on the 1st day of the following month. So if you earned McDonald's points on January 2, for example, your points would expire on July 1.
Once you have earned enough points to redeem MyMcDonald's Rewards you can load rewards into your McDonald's account and apply them to an online order. You can also use them in a McDonald's restaurant, including drive through, in which case McDonald's will provide you with a 4-digit code to present to the cashier. Can you use McDonald's rewards on delivery orders? McDonald's does not currently allow MyMcDonald's Rewards to be redeemed on delivery orders, but this could change as the program evolves.
