The New J. Crew Passport

In August of 2022, J. Crew relaunched their rewards program, changing the name from J. Crew Rewards to J. Crew Passport, and adding some brand new membership benefits and perks. Members earn 1 point per $1 spent on every purchase, which can be redeemed for a $5 reward at every 200 points. This equates to 2.5% back in rewards, which can be increased to 5% if you open a J. Crew Credit Card. The program has also introduced status levels that come with additional benefits as you level up.

Status Levels

You'll be a Green member upon enrollment, and when you spend $500 in a year you'll be upgraded to Navy. J. Crew Passport members need to spend $1,000 in a year in order to reach Gold status, which comes with the most benefits. The main difference between these levels is that your Birthday Reward increases from $10 as a Green member to $15 when you hit Navy, while Gold members get a sizable $20 Birthday Reward. In addition, Gold members get upgraded to Expedited Free Shipping instead of the Standard Free Shipping offered to Green and Navy members.

Double and Triple Points

Navy and Gold members earn double and triple points, respectively, on certain promotional days. In addition, these 2x and 3x points earnings will also apply to all Cashmere Purchases at J. Crew.

J. Crew Credit Card

One of the quickest ways to level up in the J. Crew Passport program is to open a J. Crew Credit Card. Cardmembers are instantly upgraded to Navy status, even if they haven't spent the $500 that is usually required to qualify. You'll also get 15% off your first purchase when you open the credit card, provided that your application, approval, and purchase all take place on the same day. The great thing about this bonus is that it can be combined with another promotional offer, which is great for double-dipping. And the value doesn't stop there. The main benefit of being a J. Crew Credit Cardholder is that you'll earn double the points on every purchase. This means that your 2.5% back in rewards increases to 5% because it will take you half the time to reach the 200 points needed to redeem your $5 reward. Cardmembers also get Free Standard Shipping at J. Crew Factory, Free Standard Alterations, and a Members-Only Phone line.
