Program Overview

It is precisely this level of customization that makes the Subway experience unique, as customers have the ability to create their sandwiches exactly how they want them. From multiple bread types to fillings, sauces, and toppings, Subway offers a sense of complete ownership over your meal.

A chain this big wouldn't be complete without a stellar loyalty program, which has recently undergone some exciting changes. It's always great to see some of the biggest and best restaurant chains revamping their loyalty strategy, and Subway follows in the footsteps of its peers quite admirably. The old program, MyWay Rewards, has been replaced with Subway's new and improved MVP Rewards. This new program really delivers on big value for its members, with new rewards tiers that increase your earning potential, freebies and bonus perks, and birthday rewards. Program Changes

On September 9, 2023, Subway totally relaunched its loyalty program. Focusing in the United States, Canada, and Puerto Rico, the heavily upgraded program offers members more rewards, enhanced benefits, and the opportunity to earn more as you level up through the program. The program has been rebranded from MyWay Rewards to MVP Rewards, and now features three distinct status levels. It has replaced Subway's signature 'token' with 'points' as the new earning mechanism. Every 400 points earned can be redeemed for $2 in Subway Cash, which can be used on purchases. The program is not only valid on orders placed in Subway restaurants, but also through Subway.com and the Subway App.

With 30 million MyWay Rewards members across North America, Subway has a big responsibility to ensure a smooth transition to MVP Rewards. The way it works is that existing MyWay Rewards members will automatically be enrolled in the new program. Any unspent tokens will be converted into points, while those who enroll in Subway's MVP Rewards for the first time will receive 250 bonus points upon joining.

Each tier in Subway's new MVP Rewards not only comes with enhanced benefits, but it also enables you to earn more points for every dollar spent. The Pro Tier, for example, gets you 10 points per dollar, while the Captain level gets you 11. When you reach All-Star status, you'll get 12 points per dollar spent. Because every 400 points is worth $2 in rewards, this means that Pro members get 5% back in rewards, while Captain members get 5.5% back. All-Star members earn the highest rate of return on their spend, earning 6% back in rewards on all their qualifying purchases at Subway.

Free Cookie Reward

As of November 2023, Subway is offering its MVP Rewards members a Free Cookie as part of a limited time promotion. The deal enables you to get your hands on one of Subway's famous chocolate chip cookies just by making a purchase. The offer is valid at participating U.S. Subway restaurants and requires the purchase of a 6-inch or Footlong sub. It applies to new and existing MVP Rewards members, is limited to one redemption per order, and cannot be combined with other offers.
